Oh man, Nyan Cat's a throwback I didn't expect. What's gonna happen next!?

no way its galneda

This'd be right at home in a plot point of Xavier: Renegade Angel.

The plot is ridiculous and I loved the logic behind it. The animation was perfectly executed to drive the punchline home. If you guys ever need a voice actor, I would love to collab with yall!

CompunctionTime responds:

Lol, mannn, that is the 2nd time someone said Xavier: Renegade Angel. This whole time I was wondering what genre I was in. Having you as a voice actor would be fun, "it's just me btw". Collabs, I'm always down for those. (creating something out of our imaginations is what its all about imo).

I really dig the creative license you took on his design, and it's super cool of you to give us a tour of the process (that's really rare to see in animation tests on the flash portal)

Also that movement is SMOOTH as hell, in that windup before he starts flailing around. Really impressive work!

If you ever need a voice actor for something you got, I'd love to audition! Hit me up!

DEEZTHEBRUH responds:

thank you so much , also i apperciate for voice acting , ill make sure to put u in my head whenever my future projects need voice acting
again thx u

Dude, this is great! Nice wind-up, nice execution, the closeup on the face as they get up was really expressive and had a lot of fun details all-around.

I think what could've helped the impact seem a lot harder is a lot more exaggeration in the extremes of the poses- namely, the instant the feet make contact when they weren't supposed to between the full impact of the upper body. There's not enough time to make a lot of flailing motions, but the pose (or even the silhouette) could've been in such a way that it's a little more readable that things have gone awry.

Truly observable talent, even in a short test like this. I'm really looking forward to whatever you got cooked up that's more long-form, and if you ever need a voice actor, hit me up! I'd love to help.

Holly SCHmoly!! YO thank you!!!! i might screenschoot this and post it up on my FRidge!!! i might consider hiring your voice in the future! so Dont delete your account lol! Thank you bro! made my day!!
also got any other social medias? i have both tiktok, insta! theres private dms here in newgrounds too right?

It's a pretty involved test. Definitely has a lot going on. Extreme closeups on the muzzles of firearm seems too flat- it's too much of a cop-out, because it saves you from drawing the anatomy holding the gun. These things will come with practice.

...Also, are you okay?

PTRSHADOW responds:

why the last question?

Why does he slide backwards?

rounindx responds:

Hello. This is the final boss fight in Sonic & Knuckles for Sega Megadrive (Genesis) in the second phase of the boss fight he slides to Master Emerald direction, front ou backwards, depending on how you defeated him in the first phase of the boss fight.

This is pretty good! Nice bounce and windup. Keep animating!

MateoXL responds:

Thanks!

Sound design was very mild, but Rusty would be proud. Great use of the shutters to really invoke that comic booky/manga feel. Keep going!

Kamanira responds:

Many thanks! This is actually my first time giving a shot at sound design, so it's totally fair if people find it pretty underwhelming. I'm happy with what I did for the boosters charging up, but everything before that was a bit phoned it. Had a hard time finding the right sounds for what I was aiming for.

Thanks for the feedback!

What's happening, and why is it a screen capture of a flash player, instead of just that animation's export?

themspaintfella responds:

Cause

You said at the end that you were going to list the songs in the description.

Instead, you didn't link any of the songs in the description.

It needs voice actors. Also it would be a good idea to practice on background / environment art, because most of the time it's just a flat color, and sometimes that can lead to confusion in staging, where characters are in relation to each other, and such.

You got a great ear for setting the tone with music selections, but sometimes its really loud. But when it's literally between the music and the occasional sound effect, there's not a whole lot of opportunity to become practiced at audio balancing. Once you get voicework involved, I think you'll have a lot of fun with using audio balancing to help dictate the pace of your cartoons. Utilizing beats of silence to help punch up a gag or facilitate tension and other fun stuff.

The ambition is there, it's really evident. There's lots of fun moments that are super distinct in this that I liked, like when the cat gave that menacing grin before biting the dudes arm off. And you got the thing done! This didn't seem unfinished. But with that, there's also a lot of room to grow, so when you come back with the next installment, come back stronger! Do some research and practice on a fun one-off experimenting with new things that'll advance your understanding of animation, and boost your knowledge of the labor that goes into making funny and cool cartoons.

OffFriesAnimations responds:

First of all I just wanna thank you for commenting cause this show means a lot to me it’s like my passion project so thank you so much, and second I just wanna say that I uploaded this video on YouTube a while ago so when I reuploaded it here I forgot to put credits. But anyways I will do that now and thanks again.
