If I still had a PS3 I'd be all over that shit. I don't remember the last time I played a good mech game.

I think the last mech-based game I actually enjoyed was Mechwarrior 4 and it's expansions. That was in like 1999 or 2000.

Nostalgia and shit, bro.

Fuck yea nostalgia. Armored Core takes me back; one of the first Playstation games I ever owned.

But if you still got a decent PC, look forward to Hawken; an INDIE developed mech first person shooter that looks SO damn good. Comes out 12-12-12, easy to remember.

I could not shit my pants hard enough in response to Hawken videos. That game looks awesome.

I haven't played any of the Armored Core series, though I've considered getting them a few times and ended up passing. I take it I've been missing out on something.

Lately they've been on a huge tanget of reinventing themselves. Like, Armored Core 4 was nothing like the past incarnations, and Armored Core For Answer (it's sequel) was WAY better. AC5, this newest one, is a completely different ball game because it relies on team combat vs team combat...usually. Territories you can dominate, customize gun batteries for defense, and invade or defend in your giant mech. Communicating with your other buddies in their special loadouts, and even hiring mercenary work (other players doing their own solo thing for in game money) in case you're missing a few people for that particular sortie.

It's pretty goddamn sweet. It's one of the big reasons I haven't drawn in a while, lmao

Somewhat off-topic, I've been playing APB: Reloaded with some bros for lulz lately, and it is simultaneously the most infuriating, yet satisfying game on the planet.

That game is designed for trolls. Everything about it is meant to piss your opponent off as much as possible. Every time you kill someone, they hear a personal theme song that you designed. Enemies can hear your microphone after you kill them. You can kick their corpse half-way down the street while screaming insults into your microphone and wearing a pink afro with dicks drawn on your chest.

And it is glorious. There is nothing more satisfying than making someone hear your theme six times in one match, while they type expletives into the district chat so that everyone knows how much you're pissing them off.

But then again, I am an enormous douchebag.

I looked it up on the Youtubes and it looks pretty damn interesting. You a criminal or enforcer?

Criminal, not that there's a huge difference between the two. Criminals can do ram-raids and mug people for extra money, and Enforcers can catch them in the act for extra money, but otherwise they're pretty much equal.

I accidentally submit the comment too early, I meant to add that I find the contacts you work with on the Criminal side far more interesting if you bother to read their bios and the like.
