Ghosts.

Posted by Galneda - December 14th, 2011

Have you ever experienced a haunting?

Want to talk about ghosts?

Hell, even if you don't believe it, share why in this thread that I made on my birthday.

Ghosts.

well i submitted; good topic.

As fascinating as it is descriptive! I'd like to think I'm ready for my first experience with a ghost, but everywhere I turn, it seems the genuine accounts couldn't prepare them for what they felt...somehow, this excites me even more to see what it feels like first hand. Actual terror? Disembodied emotions...sensations from something beyond my understanding...then to pull it down and LEARN about it!

Something so vivid, so imprinting....how could it NOT be real? Even if it's projected from the mind, what could we discover about the human brain? If it were real? What could we learn from the spirit realm?

I'm just absolutely invigorated with curiosity on the subject.

I believe in ghosts, but it's not paranormal thingy, it has an scientific explanation, isn't it?

You've shared stories in the ghost/supernatural club right?

I have experienced things that I deemed unexplainable in the house I lived in before this one. It was in a "historical" section of the city, and I forget the exact year it was built but it was some time in the early 1900s. I'd say early '20s at the latest. It's probably safe to say it's had lots of different residents over the years, which I actually thought was pretty cool.

There were noises and feelings galore that I couldn't explain after investigation. When I first started living there, there were a few times when I actually thought someone had broken into my house, so I armed myself and searched the house like the idiots who always die first in horror movies. This was often times in the middle of the day, though. I would hear things that were very obvious, like footsteps coming from the next room, and things sliding across my entertainment center. In true ghost story fashion, I found no people in the other room and nothing in the room was disturbed.

There's one experience that I remember very vividly, though. This was back when I first started derping around on AIM with people from NG, so I might have even been talking to you the night it happened.

I was getting something to eat, probably dinner at 4:00 AM because my sleep schedule was kind of fucked up at the time, and as I was putting something in the oven, I heard extremely loud footsteps coming up the basement stairs behind me. This wasn't someone casually walking up the stairs, it was like stomping, and it was coming up pretty fast. I had no idea what to think or do. There was a door to the outside in my basement (I lived on a steep hill, it's hard to explain this particular design flaw), but it was nigh impossible to open without pretty much ripping it from it's hinges.

So I stood in front of the door, not having any idea what to expect and kind of panicking like a bitch, and then the stomping stopped maybe 3/4 of the way up the steps. I flung the door open so hard that the handle got stuck the wall, and there was nothing there and it was completely silent. I just stood there for maybe a minute, waiting for something to happen, but alas, nothing else happened for the rest of the night. I went down the next day and the door was still locked up tight and nothing was moved or anything. Literally almost shit my pants.

Too many douchebags in your thread by the way.

This is an amazing story! Post it in the thread!

Did you ever try to communicate with it? "Knock once for yes, twice for no" kind of stuff?

As for the douchebags...Dude, for real! These trolls just piss me off. There's too many consistent patterns to hauntings for TOO LONG of recorded history to overlook. There MUST be a science to it. To ignore them entirely is incredibly foolish, and I think there's MUCH much more proof of Ghosts then anything else in the paranormal.

Posted in the thread, brah.

Bask in glory of my presence gracing your thread's mediocre pages.

I kid, you made an excellent thread that is being ruined by faggotry. There is no other word to describe it. It's a shame. I find it humorous that people complain that the BBS is "getting worse and worse omg lol", and blame it on the fact that the same threads are made every day and what have you. Yet, here is a shining example of pretty much the perfect way to make a new thread. There is a clear and definite topic, you asked many valid questions that could be discussed themselves, etc etc.

Yet most of the posts in the thread are the same uninteresting, unhelpful, inconceivably stupid garbage that people spout in every other thread.

They sew the seeds of their own deterioration, and simultaneously bitch and shit all over it.

Thanks for the love, brah. The post was a badass addition to what you wrote here and, holy shit, you're actually the hundredth post!

Woooo confetti!

Unrelated, but after a bit of reading I'm convinced that you're a definite possibility for the best reviewer on Newgrounds.

When I was 6 I remember two figures who looked like bananas walking through the window and getting into my cupboard.

Laugh all you want but I swear it happened :(

If I were a ghost and I knew how to do that, I would totally do it just to fuck with people. lol

We gonna ghost hunt? YEEEAAAAAAHH!!!!

It took me an embarrassingly long time to remember who Egon was and what that image was referencing.

I shouldn't be allowed to exist anymore.

So I Dub Thee Unforgiven.
